Tasmanian Oak Solid Timber Flooring

Installation of timber floors commenced on Monday 9/5/11.  We chose direct stick to concrete.  They finished laying boards today and will start sanding and sealing tomorrow.  Hope to complete by mid next week, depending on weather (it's quite cold at the moment) and how long each coat takes to dry.

Settlement

We handed over our final cheque on Friday, 6 May and picked up our keys and garage remotes.  Have spent the weekend scraping the concrete slab and taking off about 40 pieces of skirting in readiness for the solid timber flooring (we didn't want beading around the edges).  Will post some new pictures when the floors are in progress.

Completion signed today - finally!!!!!!

Still some minor defects to be fixed but signed completion today.  Will now wait to be contacted for settlement date to hand over final payment and pick up keys to our new home.

We have chosen Tasmanian Oak solid timber floors and a Godfrey Hirst carpet.  Hopefully flooring will start in the next 2 weeks.

New Home Presentation on Monday, 18 April 2011

We had our new home presentation on the 18th of April.  We went through house and listed the defects.  Appointment made for 26 April for final inspection to check defects had been rectified.  Unfortunately this did not go ahead as rectification of defects not completed in time.
